One of the many things we love about the city of Exeter is its abundance of thriving independent shops and artisans. From specialist bakeries to pottery studios to florists, there’s something to pique all interests. A personal favourite of ours at Twenty Twenty Property is natural wine, cider and cheese shop, Pullo — a hidden gem tucked away on the thriving Fore Street, a short distance from both the Cathedral and the Quayside area. 

Opened by Alex, Mirjam and their close friend Giovanni back in 2019, Pullo specialises in small producers from the UK, Europe and beyond. It really is an Aladdin’s Cave for wine, cider and cheese lovers looking for a taste of something unique and interesting. Their wine is naturally fermented, favouring vineyards working organically or using biodynamic methods. Similarly, their selection of cheeses comes from makers that follow ethical practices on small-scale British farms.

For those looking for a slow afternoon, you can also pull up a window seat and watch the passers-by whilst enjoying a glass of your chosen drip alongside some freshly-made local small plates. What’s more, they offer monthly in-house Wine Tastings and Pop-Up Dinners with popular chefs.

Since Twenty Twenty Property opened, we have been gifting our new home owners a bottle of something tasty from Pullo. It’s been a delight to work alongside Alex for these past four years, and we’re excited to continue to do so.
